Meadow chapel

In 1883 there was built a chapel in the outskirt of the settlement, which called Meadow chapel. A few decades ago it became a part of a site, and the owner made a lumber-room from it. We decided to renovate it but the owner family didn't agree. So we'll build a new one. We have a lot of difficulties with area reservation authorization and to get building permit but we hope that we'll finish our plans.

Crosses in Kistarcsa

There are crosses inside and in the outskirt of the town. The establishing of these crucifixeswas a lot of money, so it must have been a reason that a person or a family paid it. We decided to look for these reasons. We'll put in order the environment of these crucifixes.

Poems

We got a lot of documentaries from a heritage. We found between them some files with manuscript poems. ElemérHorváth was a counsellor but he liked writing and published them between the two world wars. The poems written after the Second World War couldn't be printed because those poems judged the state power. We plan to publish a book from them.

Postcards

Formerly people used to send postcards for their family and friends from holidays. There are postcards about Kistarcsa too, which were sent from here by our guests. We are collecting those postcards which had been made till the Second World War and we'll publish them as an album.

Local legendss

In every towns there are stories which the local community likes telling. But they'll be forgotten after two or three generations. Our young members visit old people and make sound recording about the old stories, then we'll write down and publish them.

Cultural tour

Because of discovering the local treasures we make a brochure which will guide the tourist to the most interesting places in the town. In every stops there'll be an epigraph which tells about this place. The visitor will have a task and he can certify his visit by solving it.

The painter

Recently we learned about a talented painter who lived here but nobody heard about him earlier. It turned out that he was interned in the internment camp of Kistarcsa because of his Jewish pedigree and he died there. We explore his life and install a memorial tablet to the wall of his former house.
